HILLSDALE, Mich. -- Matthew Gipple was the lone winner for the Siena Heights men's indoor track and field team with his NAIA automatic-qualifying performance in the long jump on Saturday during the Hillsdale Wide-Track Classic.
Gipple stretched 7.33 meters (24 feet, 0 3/4 inches) to place first in the long jump. The distance was 0.26m further than his previous season-best auto.
Gipple also placed runner-up in the 60-meter dash in 6.97 seconds while Caleb Greear took runner-up in the pole vault with a 4.16m (13-7 3/4).
