Cunningham Registers Auto in 60 Hurdles as Men's T&F Opens at Saginaw

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. -- Noah Cunningham hit an NAIA automatic-qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles as the Siena Heights men's track and field team opened its indoor season at the Saginaw Valley Holiday Open.

Cunningham clocked in at 8.13 seconds to place fourth in the 60 hurdles. He had run an 8.18 for the fifth-fastest time in preliminaries.

Matthew Gipple had a pair of Top-3 finishes. He placed second in the long jump with a distance of 6.90 meters (22 feet, 7 3/4 inches) and third in the 60 with a time of 7.01 seconds. His prelim time in the 60 of 6.90 had him seeded No. 2.

Calvin Randolph finished third in the triple jump, stretching 11.33m (37-2 1/4).

Blake Schroeder and Nethanel Leupold were fourth and sixth, respectively, in the 800 with times of 1:59.30 and 2:01.42.

In the 3,000, Tyler Landis placed sixth in 9:15.22 and Andrew Stern finished ninth in 9:25.86.

Logan Hollingsworth cleared 4.45m (14-7 1/4) to take fourth in the pole vault while teammate Alan Alston was seventh with a 4.15m (13-7 1/4).

Other Top-10 finishes for SHU included Savion Tyler, eighth in the high jump (1.83m, 6-0) and Nikolas Hammond, ninth in the long jump (6.18m, 20-3 1/2).
