ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. -- Matthew Gipple claimed a victory in the long jump as the Siena Heights men's outdoor track and field team competed at Oakland's Elaine Leigh Invitational on Thursday and Friday.

Gipple had an NAIA provisional distance of 7.15 meters (23 feet, 5 1/2 inches) in the long jump. He also placed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.03 seconds.

Jonah Siekmon was runner-up in the javelin with a 49.63m (162-10). Alan Alston added a fourth-place finish in the pole vault with a 4.20m (13-9 1/4) and Jefferson Edwards spun the discus for fourth place with a 41.15m (135-0).
