ADRIAN, Mich. -- Siena Heights hurdler Noah Cunningham set a school record and O'Laughlin Stadium record with his winning time of 14.09 seconds in the 110-meter event as the Saints men's track and field team tied for third at the Don Kleinow Memorial on Friday.
Cunningham's time in the 110 hurdles was an NAIA automatic-qualifying mark. He also recorded a provisional mark in the javelin with a winning distance of 56.29 meters (184 feet, 8 inches).
Matthew Gipple won the long jump with a provisional distance of 7.20m (23-7 1/2) and placed fourth in the 100 in 10.93 seconds.
Savion Tyler, Alan Alston, Jefferson Edwards and Jonah Siekmon also had Top 5 finishes. Tyler was fifth in the high jump with a 1.90m (6-2 3/4) and Siekman took fifth in the javelin with a 45.68m (149-10).
In the pole vault, Alston cleared 4.25m (13-11 1/4) for fifth while Edwards was fifth in the hammerthrow with a 48.21m (158-2).
In team scoring, Detroit Mercy won the Kleinow meet with 82 points and Madonna finished runner-up with 44. The Saints had 42 points, tying with Aquinas and Lansing Community College. A total of 19 schools competed.
