The Siena Heights Men's Indoor Track and Field Team competed at the Tiffin Open on Friday, coming away with two provisional qualification marks for the NAIA Indoor National Championship Meet.
Matthew Gipple led the Saints again this weekend hitting both provisional marks. In the long jump, Gipple won the event with a leap of 7.03 meters. He has already hit the automatic qualification mark with a season high leap of 7.14 at a previous meet. Gipple finished in 3rd place in the 60 meters with a time of 6.89 seconds. He hit the provisional mark previously earlier this season with a 6.88 mark.
The Saints saw two additional top five finishes with Noah Cunningham placing second in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.42 seconds. Javon Fletcher-Johnson had the fifth place finish with his 200 meter dash time of 23.24.
The Saints will return to action after the holiday break at the SVSU Invitational in January.
