Saints Men's Track & Field Take 1st in Concordia (Mich.) Legacy Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Siena Heights University track and field competed in the Concordia Cardinals Legacy Meet, claiming first place overall with a total of 130 points, 28 points higher than second place. The Saints had seven athletes earn first placemarks and five claim second placemarks.

Running in the 800-meter Cedric Grant finished first with a time of 1:58.94, Joshua Cundy took second in the event running in 1:59.01. Jacob Harberts claimed the first-place title in the 1500 meter with an ending time of 4:01.40. The 4x100 relay team of Noah Cunningham, Davion Curry, Cherrard Cohen, and Matthew Gipple claimed first place with a run time of 41.80 seconds.

The pole vault event saw a tie for first place between SHU and Detroit Mercy, Siena's Timothy Werner, flew a height of 4.15 meters to tie for first place. Matthew Gipple earned the first place mark in the long jump leaping 6.83 meters in total. While Zachary Gipple claimed first in the shot-put heaving, a distance of 16.87 meters. Noah Cunningham came in first in the javelin with a distance of 61.76 meters.

Competing in the 5000-meter race was Liam Hartsuff, who placed second and held a time of 16:10.97. Davion Curry placed second in both the long jump and triple jump leaping, for 6.48 meters in the long jump and 13.47 meters in the triple. The javelin event saw Jonah Siekmon take second with a throw of 52.98 meters. While Sebastian Hamilton earned a third-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 14.83 meters.
