FORT WAYNE, Indiana – The No. 15 ranked Siena Heights University men's track team competed in The Monday Meet hosted by Indiana Tech on Monday, April 11th.
The team of Abdullah Nassr, Cedric Grant, Jacob Harberts, and Jacob Sand clinched first place in the 4x800 meter race finishing with a time of 7:50.89. The fastest time yet for the team besting their previous personal record (PR) by three seconds. Davion Curry claimed second in the long jump, leaping a distance of 6.84 meters. Curry also competed in the triple jump to earn a fourth-place mark for jumping 13.77 meters.
Junior Zachary Gipple came in fifth place in the shot put heaving, a distance of 15.54 meters. Jacob Harberts competed in the 1500-meter race to finish ninth with a total time of 4:03.86. Cedric Grant ran the 800-meter claiming the 10th placemark with a run time of 1:57.18. Freshman Joshua Cundy ran the 400-meter race, finishing 15th overall with a run of 50.95. As Jacob Sand earned the 16th placemark in the 400 hurdles finishing with a total time of 58.86.
