Men's Indoor Track and Field Participate in Red, White, and Blue Classic

Adrian, MICH. – SHU men's indoor track and field team competed in the Red, White, and Blue Track Classic at The Lab in Ypsilanti, Michigan, on Friday, February 5th. Siena Heights had 24 top ten finishes with three athletes setting new personal records (PR) during the afternoon meet.
Jacob Harberts set a new PR with a time of 4:19.01 during his 1-mile run, Harbert also took first place in the event. Abdullah Nassar took first in the 600-meter race with a finish of 1:22.63 making the time his new personal best. Davion Curry also set a new PR with a jump of 13.45 meters while also clinching first place in the event.
The Saints took first in the 4x800 with a team made up of Cedric Grant, Abdullah Nassar, Jacob Harberts, and Joshua Cundy, the team had a run time of 8:02.61. Another first-place finish went to Davion Curry for the long jump, in which he leaped 6.77 meters. SHU held second place in five different events, Andrew Milosavlevski being one of the athletes who ran a 1:28.53 600-meter race. Joshua Cundy also took second in the 400 meters with a finish of 51.46. the team of Noah Cunningham, Abdullah Nassar, Davion Curry, and Joshua Cundy took second in the 4X400 with a final of 3:30.02. In the pole vault, Timothy Werner finished with 4.27 meters earning him a second-place finish. While Zachary Gipple placed second in the shot put with a throw of 15.88 meters.
Cedric Grant took third in the 800 meters with a grand total of 2:01.39. while Jacob Sand was only four seconds behind to come in seventh. Siena Heights had three fourth-place finishes, one being Joel Kosko in the 600-meter race with a finishing time of 1:28.53. The 60 hurdles resulted in a fourth-place finish for Jason Baird with 8.85 and a seventh-place for Noah Cunningham. Shot put saw a fifth-place finish by Jefferson Edwards throwing 14.21, an eight-place finish by Sebastian Hamilton with 13.82, and a tenth-place finish by Jordan Harris with 11.31. Liam Hartsuff placed fifth in the 3000-meter run ending with 9:02.01. SHU took two top-ten finishes in the weight throw, with Jefferson Edwards in sixth and Sebastian Hamilton in seventh. Noah Cunningham rounded out the day with a sixth-place finish in the 200-meter race with a run of 23.01.
