TIFFIN, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's indoor track and field team took a small group of student-athletes to Tiffin University to compete in the Andres Family College Open on Friday, December 10.
Matthew Gipple had another outstanding performance as he won the long jump with a PR and an A-Standard 7.15m (23' 5.5") leap. M. Gipple also hit an A-Standard in his fourth-place, 60-meter race with a personal-best time of 6.86.
Zach Gipple placed third in the shot put with an A-Standard mark of 15.93m (52' 3.25"). Davion Curry finished third in the long jump with a best leap of 6.87m (22' 6.5").
Jefferson Edwards finished sixth in both the shot put and the weight throw. His shot put heave was a PR of 14.19m (46' 6.75"); the weight throw was 15.79m (51' 9.75").
Timothy Werner placed seventh in the pole vault as he cleared the bar at 4.33m (14'2.5"). Sebastian Hamilton was also seventh place in the weight throw with a toss of 15.30m (50' 2.5"). Hamilton was eight in the shot put with a throw of 13.98m (45' 10.5").
Alan Alston claimed 10th in the pole vault with a height of 3.88m (12' 8.75"). Teammate TJ Wesley set a PR in the pole vault with a height of 3.88M (12' 8.75") for 11th.
