Six Saints Competed at the NAIA Indoor Championships

BROOKINGS, S.D. -- The Siena Heights Men's Indoor Track & Field team had six athletes compete at the NAIA National Championships on March 5th-7th at Dakota State University.

Zachary Gipple (So. | Coldwater, Mich.) was one place off of earning an All-American award as he placed ninth out of 13 athletes in the shot put with a distance of 16.30m.

The 4x800 meter relay team consisting of Jordan Parkinson (Sr. | Coldwater, Mich.), Abdullah Nassr (Fr. | Dearborn, Mich.), Cedric Grant (So. | Clinton, Mich.), and Jacob Sand (Fr. | Macomb, Mich.) placed 12th out of 15 teams with a time of 8:07.57.

Rees Nemeth (Sr. | Hillsdale, Mich.) did not place in the pole vault as he recorded a no height.

The Saints will transition to the outdoor season and return to competition on Saturday, March 27th at Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Invitational in Marion, Indiana.
