Men's Track and Field Places Fourth at Saints Challenge

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team finished fourth at the Saints Challenge hosted by Aquinas College on Sunday, February 7th with 62 points. Liam Hartsuff (Jr. | Chelsea Mich.) was the lone Saint event winner with a time of 9:12.86 in the 3000m.

Zachary Gipple (So. | Coldwater, Mich.) had a distance of 15.54m (51' 0") to place second in the shot put and set a personal record. He also had a distance of 11.48m (37' 8") in the weight throw. Cedric Grant (So. | Clinton, Mich.) placed second in the 800m with a tie of 2:04.82. Reese Nemeth (Sr. | Hillsdale, Mich.) cleared the pole at 4.20m (13' 9.25") to place second in the pole vault. 

Jacob Sand (Fr. | Macomb, Mich.) earned fourth in the 600m with a time of 1:28.15. Sebastian Hamilton (Jr. | Colon, Mich.) finished fourth in the shot put with a distance of 14.45m (47' 5") and set a personal record. He also placed fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 15.03m (49' 3.75"). 

Matthew Gipple (Fr. | Coldwater, Mich.) placed sixth in the 60m with a time of 7.27 seconds and set a person record. He also placed seventh in the 200m with a time of 24.03 seconds. Noah Cunningham had a time of 23.97 seconds in the 200m for sixth place. Nathan Parker (So. | Macomb, Mich.) finished sixth in the 400m with a time of 55.08 seconds.
