Men's Track and Field Begin Indoor Season at SVSU Doug Hansen Open

SAGINAW, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team opened the 2021 indoor season competing at the SVSU Doug Hansen Open on Friday, January 22nd. All Saints who competed in the meet finished in the top six of their respective events. 

TOP FINISHERS

Naythan Haslam (Jr. | Wyandotte, Mich.) earned first place in the 200m with a time of 23:50 seconds. He also placed fourth in the 60m finishing in 7.45 seconds. Jordan Parkinson (Sr. | Coldwater, Mich.) won the 800m with a time of 2:02.20. Zachary Gipple (So. | Coldwater, Mich.) placed first in the shot put with a distance of 15.45m (50' 8.75"). He also had a distance of 12.35m (40" 6.25") in the weight throw for sixth place. 

Matthew Gipple (Fr. | Coldwater, Mich.) earned a time of 7.35 seconds in the 60m for second place. He also placed third in the 200m with a time of 24.03 seconds. Noah Cunningham earned second in the 200m with a time of 23.57 seconds. He also finished third in the 60m with a time of 7.38 seconds. Cedric Grant (So. | Clinton, Mich.) earned a time of 2:02.33 in the 800m for second place. Rees Nemeth (Sr. | Hillsdale, Mich.) finished second in the pole vault clearing the pole at 4.35m (14' 3.25"). Davion Curry (Sr. | Detroit, Mich.) had a distance of 6.44m (21' 1.5") in the long jump for second place. Sebastian Hamilton (Jr. | Colon, Mich.) earned a distance of 15.12m (49' 7.25") in the weight throw finishing in second place. He also placed fifth in the shot put with a distance of 13.90m (45' 7.25").

Jacob Sand (Fr. | Macomb, Mich.) had a time of 52.07 seconds in the 400m for third place. Timothy (Jr. | Temperance, Mich.) finished third in the pole vault clearing the pole at 4.05m (13' 3.5"). Jason Baird (Sr. | Lake Fenton, Mich.) earned third in the long jump with a distance of 4.57m (15' 0"). Jefferson Edwards (So. | Southfield, Mich.) placed third in the weight throw with a distance of 14.56m (47' 9.25"). 

Nathan Parker (So. | Macomb, Mich.) earned a time of 24.34 seconds in the 200m for fourth place. He also finished fifth in the 60m with a time of 7.60 seconds. Liam Hartsuff (Jr. | Chelsea, Mich.) rounded out the competition placing fifth in the 3000m with a time of 8:57.88.
