Siena Heights Men's Track and Field Begin Indoor Season at SVSU Holiday Classic

SAGINAW, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team competed at the Saginaw Valley State University Holiday Classic on Friday. Jordan Parkinson (Junior, Coldwater, Mich.) was the lone Saint winner with a time of 4:29.83 in the mile event. 

TOP FINISHERS

Liam Hartsuff (Sophomore, Chelsea, Mich.) earned a personal best as he finished second in the 5k with a time of 15:27.79.

Rees Nemeth (Junior, Hillsdale, Mich.) was second in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 4.50m (14' 9").

The 4x400 relay team consisting of Jonathan Parker (Junior, Westland, Mich), Cedric Grant (Freshman, Clinton, Mich.), Naythan Haslam (Sophomore, Wyndotte, Mich) and Parkinson finished in sixth with a time of 3:32.10.

Haslam also finished the 200-meter in 22.42 seconds, which was good for seventh place. He also finished the 400-meter in 49.27 seconds, which was good for ninth place.

Zach Kunst (Senior, Grand Rapids, Mich.) recorded a personal best in the weight throw (16.18m [53' 1"]) for eighth place. He also placed eighth in the shot put (14.93m [48' 11.75"]).

Jefferson Edwards (Sophomore, Toledo, Ohio)  placed tenth in the shot put (14.05m [46' 1.25"])
