BROOKINGS, S.D. -- Brent Rodden finished third in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.45 to earn All-America status in the event. Rodden came into the finals on Saturday after winning the prelims in the 800 with a time of 1:52.9 on Friday.

Robert Drew competed in both the shot put and the weight throw at nationals. Drew finished 12th in the shot put with a heave of 15.82 meter while throwing the weight 16.16 meters for an 18th-place finish.

Rees Nemeth was the final SHU men's competitor at the national meet. He placed 23rd in the pole vault by clearing the bar at 4.50 meters.
