Men's Track and Field have Seven Top Five Finishes at the Gina Relays

HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team competed in the Gina Relays hosted by Hillsdale on Thursday and Friday. The team finished with two automatic qualifying performances and had seven top five finishes.

Jacob Compagner came out throwing an automatic qualifying distance of 56.54m in the hammer throw, placing third.

Coming out on top in first place was Keith Jordan, clearing the bar at 2.03m in the high jump.

Robert Drew claimed fifth place in the shot put with 14.92m.

With a time of 10.89 seconds, Blaine Ellington took fifth place in the 100 meter dash.

Torin Anderson took third place finishing at 55.13 seconds in the 400 meter hurdles.

Robert Milton crossed the finish line at 22.24 seconds in the 200 meter dash, claiming fifth place.

The SHU 4x800 meter relay team consisting of Dominic Muessig, Jareb Duggan, Anothony Vermilye and Brent Rodden finished in second place with an automatic qualifying time of 7:35.86.

Next up, the Saints will travel to Grand Rapids to compete in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship hosted by Davenport starting on Thursday, May 4.
