Men's T&F Have Success Over The Weekend

UPLAND, Ind. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team competed in the George Glass Invitational and the 2017 Hilltopper Relays over the weekend. The Saints had one automatic qualifier at each meet and one provisional qualifier at the George Glass Invitational.

Blaine Ellington took third place in the 100 meter dash with a provisional qualifying time of 10.72 seconds.

Robert Milton competed in the 200 meter dash finishing second, with a time of 21.92 seconds.

Anthony Vermilye and Brent Rodden both stole the show in their events taking first place. Vermilye finished with a time of 1:54.50 in the 800 meter dash and Rodden finished with a time of 4:04.66 in the 1500 meter dash.

Torin Anderson placed second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 55.01 seconds.

The Saints 4x400 relay team claimed first place with a time of 3:21.02.

Kaleb Towns jumped 1.90m, taking third place in the high jump.

Jacob Compagner threw an automatic-qualifying distance of 57.81m in the hammer throw, earning second place.

Joshua Jenkins placed second, throwing 49.79m in the javelin throw.

Keith Jordan competed in the 2017 Hilltopper Relays at Western Kentucky University over the weekend. Jordan took fourth place in the high jump after clearing the bar at 2.14m, automatically qualifying himself for nationals.

Next up the Saints will host the Don Kleinow Invitational on Thursday, April 13.
