EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's track and field team competed in the 2017 Auto Owners Spartan Invitation over the weekend. The men walked away with eight top three finishers and two automatic qualifying performances.

Brent Rodden finished second in the 800 meter run with an automatic qualifying time of 1:51.04.

The 4x400 meter relay team claimed the third place spot with a time of 3:30.33.

Ellington also finished second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.17 seconds and first in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.21 seconds.

Keith Jordan came in third place in high jump after clearing the bar at 1.97m.

Robert Drew took third place throwing 15.93m in shot put.

Devonte Johnson cleared at 4.81m in pole vault, taking third place.

Jacob Compagner threw an automatic qualifying distance of 53.11m in the hammer throw, earning second place.

Next up Siena Heights will travel to the George Glass Invite in Upland, Ind. on Saturday, April 8.
