Siena Heights men's track and field members Dominic Muessig and Juwan Willis each earned Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Athlete of the Week honors for their efforts at the Hillsdale Winter Opener, on Saturday.
Muessig earned first place for an automatic-qualifying time of 1:21.66 in the 600m run, finishing 3.39 seconds in front of the second place performer. This career-best time ranks him third in the NAIA. He also anchored the winning 4x400m relay team with a time of 3:28.90.
In his first meet as a Saint, Willis took first place in the high jump. He cleared the bar at 1.95m (6 feet, 4.75 inches).
The Saints took first of ten teams at the Hillsdale Winter Opener.
