Three First Place Performances for Men's T&F Outdoor Season-Opener

MARIAN, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team had three first place performances and eight other top five finishes, including two NAIA automatic-qualifying performances, at the 2016 Knight Invitational, on Friday. 

Joshua Jenkins took home first place in the javelin with a distance of 149 feet, 4 inches (45.52 meters).

In the 400 meter hurdles, Torin Anderson finished in first with a time of 55.83 seconds. 

The 4x400 meter relay finished first with a time of 7:53.45.

In the high jump, Gerald Richardson cleared the bar at an auto-qualifying height of 6 feet, 9 inches (2.06 meters) for second place.

Patrick Goebel threw an auto-distance of 162-9 (49.60m) in the discus throw, earning second place. With a distance of 149 feet, six inches (45.56 meters), Adam Stuckert took home fourth. In the shot put, Paul Jacobs finished in fifth place with a distance of 46-11 (14.30m).

Zakary Haines had two second place finished in the 200m dash and the 400m dash. He finished the 200m in 22.23 seconds and finished the 400m in 49.68 seconds.

In the 800 meter run, Brent Rodden finished fourth in 1:55.70.

The Saints will be back in action when they travel to either Michigan State or Cumberlands (Ky.), on Friday and Saturday.
