Men's Track and Field Competes at Kent State

KENT, Ohio -- The Siena Heights men's track and field team brought down a few individuals to compete at the Kent State Golden Flash Gala, where they went up against different NCAA Div. I and Div. II athletes. The Saints left the event with two first place, automatic-qualifying scores and one provisional-qualifying score.

In the 60 meter hurdles, Frederick Boyd bettered his previous provisional time (8.40 seconds) with an 8.39 seconds finish.

Gerald Richardson won the high jump, clearing the bar at 6 feet, 10 3/4 inches (2.10 meters) for an automatic-qualifying performance.

Pole-vaulter Richard DePalma was successful in his event as well, taking the top spot. He cleared the vault with an auto height of 16 feet, 6 3/4 inches (5.05m).
