HUNTINGTON, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team fell to Huntington, 5-2, in the opening game of its 2023 season on Saturday.
Salvatore Marchionda and Brendan Robbins got on the board today with goals for the Saints. Gaizka Zandio had an assist.
The Saints fell behind early 3-0 before Robbins scored in the 48th minute with an assist from Zandio. The host Foresters took a 4-1 lead before Marchionda pulled the Saints within 4-2 in the 74th.
Siena Heights goalie Marcelo Lopez finished with seven saves.
Next up, the Saints will visit Olivet Nazarene on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 12:00 PM CDT.
