SHU Men's Soccer Brings Home 10 WHAC Honors

ADRIAN, Mich. - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced the 2022 WHAC Men's Soccer Awards this afternoon. Nine men's soccer players represented Siena Heights on the list.

Nick Mancani was the SHU player on the Champions of Character team and a member of the WHAC all-academic team. On the all-academic honors sheet, Franco Alves, Diego Baitelli, Aidan Bruce, Cameron GouinJoel KoshkoNick Mancani, Salvatore Marchionda, Josh Vernier, and Jacob Wojciechowski.

Mancani started in two of his seven-game appearancess for the Saints this year as a defender.

Alves appeared in six games in the mid-field for the Saints during the season, scoring one game-winning goal.

Baitelli a mid-fielder for the Saints did not see varsity action this year

Bruce played in 11 games and recorded four shots as a forward.

Gouin made 16 starts in 16 appearances on defense for SHU. He made one goal and held 10 shots, five of which were on goal.

Koshko made 14 starts in 14 appearances on defense for Siena Heights. He tallied two shots.

Marchionda appeared in five games as a forward for the Saints and put up three shots, with one on goal.

Vernier appeared in eight games with one start. He totaled three shots for the Saints during the season.

Wojciechowski started in six of his seven-game appearances, totaling 552:19 minutes, and 22 saves, for a record of 2-5.
