Adrian, Mich. -  The Siena Heights University men's soccer team extended the record to 2-0 with a win over the Huntington University Foresters. In a big 2-1 victory at home in the O'Laughlin Stadium.

Leading the Saints were Gaizka Zandio (1-1) and Lewis Crombie (1-1) who each held a goal for the home team. Timm Castro (0-1) assisted Zandio earning one point during the match. Both Marcelo Rocha and Castro held shots on goal for Siena having great looks at the net.

Early into the first half in the 15th minute SHU struck the back of the net with a goal from Zandio his first of the season and assisted by Castro his first of the season. Play continued as the home team showed strong defense holding back the Foresters to only two shots on goal the entire half.

Entering the second half Siena remained in control while firing back-to-back shots on goal in the 48th minute. The first was saved by the goalie and the second nearly missed and went off the crossbar. Remaining strong Crombie would find the back of the net to send the Saints up 2-0 at the 79th-minute mark. Nearing the end of the match Huntington would score once with three minutes remaining ending the game 2-1.

Quote from Coach "Great effort again today. We put two halves together. I thought we outplayed them in long stretches. They certainly made it interesting in the end there with their pressure as they tried to get back into the game in the final five to eight minutes. I thought we did well to hold them off and overall a great win against a very tough opponent."
