ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights, men's soccer team surrendered a 1-0 lead by allowing a goal in the final four minutes of regulation on the way to a 1-1 tie with RV Madonna on Saturday night. The Saints broke the scoreless deadlock in the 77th minute before the Crusaders knotted things up and forced SHU to settle with a tie.

Timm Castro scored the lone goal for the Saints after beating the goalkeeper to the lower left side of the net with a kick outside the box. Marcelo Rocha led the way with two shots on goal. Gustavo Barros, Matheus Marrote, Alex Hanosh, and Jonas Walter each registered a shot on goal. Jacob Wojciechowski (T, 2-4-1) made five saves in the game.

Neither team could take the lead through the first 45 minutes of play. Madonna edged the SHU 7-6 in shots through the first half. Youssou Ouendeno made two saves for the Crusaders to keep the Saints off the board in the first.

The Navy and Yellow won the shot battle in the second 10-8. Castro's goal gave SHU the lead at the 76:07 mark of regulation. However, the lead was short-lived as Madonna tied things up after a scramble on a corner kick allowed the ball to bounce off the bottom of the crossbar and into the net at 86:52.

Wojciechowski was tested with two shots on goal in the first overtime period, stopping them both and forcing a second overtime. The Saints got a shot on goal in the second overtime period, but the score remained 1-1.
