SOUTHFIELD, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team surrendered three goals in the first half on the way to a tough 4-0 loss at Lawrence Tech on Wednesday night. The Saints (3-5-1, 0-4-1 WHAC) are still in search of their first victory over a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) opponent this season.

Gustavo Barros and Nolan Chaput each tallied a shot on goal in the losing effort. Jacob Wojciechowski (L, 2-4) made a season-high nine saves to try and keep the Saints in the game.

The first goal came in the ninth minute and gave the Blue Devils the 1-0 lead. The insurance goal was added at the 27:50 mark. The lead was extended less than two minutes later in the 30th minute and the home team took a 3-0 lead into the locker room at the half. Lawrence Tech outshot Siena Heights 19-3 in the opening 45 minutes.

The Saints' defense tightened in the second half as only one goal was scored in the 62nd minute by LTU. Much like the first half, the Blue Devils had a significant advantage in shots, 21-3.
