ADRIAN, Mich. – The Siena Heights men's soccer suffered two own goals in a 3-2 loss against Rochester at O'Laughlin Stadium on Wednesday night. The Saints (3-3, 0-2 WHAC) fall to an 0-2 start in conference play after the loss.

Nolan Chaput led the way for the Saints with four shots and a goal on the evening. Diego Baitelli scored the other SHU goal, while Gustavo Barros was responsible for the only assist.

Both teams generated chances early in the first half, but the goalkeepers thwarted each to keep the game scoreless. The tie was broken after the ball rolled off the foot of a Saint defender and went into the net on an own goal that gave the Warriors a 1-0 with under two minutes left in the first half. After a long shot from outside the box, Diego Baitelli tied things up with three seconds remaining after Rochester headed the ball away off a corner kick. Baitelli's shot flew past the Warrior's keeper in the top left corner.

The Saints broke the tie early in the second half when Gustavo Barros sent a perfect through pass to Nolan Chaput, who beat the keeper for the 2-1 lead in the 55th minute. The score was tied for a second time when a foul by SHU in the box resulted in a penalty kick for Rochester, which was taken and scored by Dmitar Stankovic in the 80th minute. A second own goal by the Saints in the 87th minute proved to be the difference.
