HOW IT HAPPENED

Neither team was able to find the back of the net as the score remained zeros at half-time. The Saints had a number of opportunities as they had five shots on goal in the first half from Robert D'Angelo, Alexander Mittag, Matheus Marrote, and Carlos Palan but were not able to put it past Austin Dukes in Wolverine goal. SHU edged UM-Dearborn 12 to two shots on the period.

The Wolverines struck first at the 46:07 mark as Christian Cole received a pass inside the box from Christian Cuevas to beat Andrew Kozan in the bottom left of the goal. UM-Dearborn headed a ball off a Saint kick that was deflected backward and went into their own net at the 88:29 mark that scored the equalizer and sent the game into overtime.
