10 Saints Honored with WHAC Conference Honors

The Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference announced the 2018 men's soccer awards on Thursday, November 1. 10 Saints were honored with an award this season.

Justin Gray (Sophomore, Fraser, Mich.) was honored with WHAC All-Conference Second Team this season. Gray started in all 18 games this season where he scored six goals which lead the team and also lead the team in shots on goal with 28.

Elmedin Celovic (Senior, Lansing, Mich.) was awarded WHAC All-Academic Team. Celovic played in all 18 games on the season and scored two goals with six shots on goal.

Kiah Finley (Junior, Holly, Mich.) was also honored WHAC All-Academic Team. Finley appeared in eight games this year where he recorded one shot on goal.

Leo Hisamatsu (Junior, Osaka, Japan) was the third Saint to be awarded WHAC All-Academic Team. Hisamatsu was in goal during 13 games on the season for the Saints. He made 56 saves and had one shutout.

Matt Lentine (Senior, Fraser, Mich.) was another Saint to win WHAC All-Academic Team. Lentine started in all 18 games for SHU. He scored five goals and had one assist on the season.

Brent Rodden (Senior, Taylor, Mich.) was honored with WHAC All-Academic Team. During the season Rodden played in 18 games and tallied five assist.

Austin Siterlet (Junior, Canton, Mich.) took home the award of WHAC All-Academic Team. Siterlet played in 11 games for Siena on the year. He had one shot on goal recorded.

Brayden Stephan (Junior, Highland, Mich.) received WHAC All-Academic Team. In 17 games played for Stephan, he had one goal and five shots on goal.

Tim Van Landeghem (Junior, Grand Blanc, Mich.) was put on the WHAC All-Academic Team. Playing in 11 games for SHU on the season he had three shots on goal.

Matt Wilkie (Senior, Fraser, Mich.) was the ninth SHU player to be honored as WHAC All-Academic Team. Starting in all 18 game for the Saints he had one assist and two shots on goal during the season

The Siena Heights men's soccer team will take on UNOH in Lima, Ohio Saturday. November 3 2018 at 2 PM for the quarterfinal round in the WHAC Tournament.
