ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team tied Cornerstone, 2-2, in a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference contest on Tuesday at O'Laughlin Stadium.
Elmedin Celovic had a goal and an assist while Kaysey Collins also scored a goal for the Saints, who trailed 1-0 and 2-1.
Cornerstone grabbed its first lead on a goal by Diego Bobadilla in the 24th minute. Bobadilla was assisted by MKbeki Johnson.
Celovic answered for SHU in the 44th, converting a diving header on a cross from Rahbar Khan.
The Golden Eagles (3-5-1, 1-0-1) regained a short-lived lead in the 71st minute as Kevin Nimmo put the visitors ahead for the final time.
A great cross from Celovic was finished off by Collins with a solid one-timer into the net to knot the match at 2-2 during the 78th minute.
Siena Heights goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu had 14 saves while his counterpart, Nick Hopkins, stopped three shots for CU.
The tie snapped the Saints' four-game losing streak to Cornerstone, which dated back to 2011. SHU's six-game winning streak in 2015 came to an end, but Siena Heights can still claim an unbeaten stretch of seven games.
Siena Heights (6-1-1, 1-0-1) will return to action on Friday with a 3 p.m. WHAC game at Madonna.
