Men's Soccer Keeps Rolling With Third Straight Win

ADRIAN, Mich. -- Two goals by Brent Rodden lifted the Siena Heights men's soccer team to a 3-1 non-conference victory against Calumet Saint Joseph (Ind.) on Saturday.

The Saints gained the lead in the third minute when Rodden scored off of a deflection from Luis Miguel Anaya. The Crimson Wave responded with a goal by Joaquin Peluffo in the 15th minute, with the assist from Nick Barango.

Alexandre Santos finished the cross from Rodden to score the game-winning goal for the Saints in the 21st minute. Rodden scored an insurance goal with assist from Rahbar Kahn in the 25th minute to make the lead 3-1, which would hold for the rest of the match.

Saints' goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu, making nine saves, earned the win, one save coming from a penalty kick. Connor Power started for the Crimson Wave making one save and allowing three goals. He was relieved by Jonathon Brenner in the second half, who made one save.

Calumet Saint Joseph outshot SHU, 20-13, and held a 6-3 corner-kick advantage.

Saints will be hosting Grace Bible at O'Laughlin Stadium next Tuesday, 7 p.m.
