GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team dropped its season opener to Goshen (Ind.), 1-0, in non-conference action on Tuesday.

Spencer Aeschliman provided the game's only goal, connecting in the 39th minute for Goshen (1-1-0). Nate Nussbaum assisted the tally.

SHU goalkeeper Leo Hisamatsu had nine saves in his collegiate debut while Maple Leaf goalie Johan Escalante stopped two shots to earn the win.

Goshen outshot Siena Heights, 18-14.

The Saints (0-1-0) will return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 5, when they visit non-conference opponent Cleary for a 2 p.m. start.
