Late Goal Sinks Men's Soccer at Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Siena Heights men's soccer team dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to Indiana Tech in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.

Bryce DeLamielleure and Luis Miguel Anaya scored goals for the Saints, who led on two different occasions, but fell victim to a goal in the 84th minute by Indiana Tech's Padraic Ormsby.

DeLamielleure received an assist from Anaya in the 14th minute to put SHU ahead, 1-0. The first score set off a stretch in which the teams combined for four goals in a 13-minute, 50-second period.

Mitch Smith answered back for the Warriors, scoring with an assist from Stuart Mitchell in the 17th.

Anaya gave the Saints their final lead with an unassisted goal in the 21st before an own goal helped the host Warriors (7-7-2, 4-5-0) pull even at 2-all.

Ormsby connected off a free kick from 20 yards out on the game-winner.

Logan Kelly was the winning goalkeeper for the Warriors, finishing with two stops. SHU goalie Brandon Gonzalez made three saves.

Indiana Tech outshot SHU, 15-11, and held a 4-3 corner-kick advantage.

The Saints (2-13-2, 1-6-2) will wrap up their regular season on Saturday with a 7 p.m. WHAC home contest against Aquinas.
