Men's Lacrosse Loses OT Heartbreaker at Ottawa (Kan.)

OTTAWA, Kan. -- The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team lost a 14-13 heartbreaker in overtime to non-conference opponent Ottawa (Kan.) on Monday.

Eric Csizmadia and Joey Keck scored four goals apiece for the Saints (0-3) while Brandon Hammer and Devin Plemmons put in two goals each. Dillon Baldwin also scored.

Plemmons led SHU in the assists category with four. Csizmadia made two while solo assists were made by Hammer, Baldwin and Ethan Wissink.

Siena Heights opened the second half with three straight goals after trailing 9-7 at halftime. Keck had two of those goals.

Ottawa evened the contest at 10-all and then the teams traded goals in the fourth. The host Braves took the lead three times and SHU responded each time, tying the game at 13-13 on a goal by Baldwin.

Ottawa's Jack Brackin ended the game 2:18 into OT.

Jakob Moske played in goal for the Saints, totaling 13 saves. Faceoff specialist Fernando Robison picked up nine groundballs.

SHU will play next on Wednesday when it visits Benedictine (Kan.).
