Men's Lacrosse Struggles at William Penn

WEST DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team suffered a 22-8 loss to non-conference opponent William Penn on Saturday night.

Eric Csizmadia had four goals to lead the SHU offense. Devin Plemmons added two goals and one assist while Fernando Robison and Lachlan Conway tallied single goals.

Sean Jablonski and Dillon Baldwin were credited with assists. In goal, Jakob Moske had nine saves before Alyx Walker came in to stop two shots in a relief effort.

Robison led the team in groundballs with five. Moske picked up four.

The Saints (0-2) played from behind after William Penn took a 3-0 lead. The host Statemen held a 4-1 lead after one quarter. The teams traded goals throughout the 5-5 second period as WPU took a 9-6 advantage into halftime.

After that, William Penn (3-1) outscored SHU 13-2 in the second half.

The Saints will return to play over its spring break on March 4 and 6 with visits to Ottawa (Kan.) and Benedictine (Kan.).
