#7 Men's Lax Comeback Falls Short at #5 Indiana Tech in WHAC Semifinals

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The seventh-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team fell in the WHAC Tournament semifinals to No. 5 Indiana Tech on Thursday, 12-10. SHU will now await word from the NAIA on a potential at-large bid to the NAIA Invitational.

Eric Csizmadia led the Saints (9-5) with five goals and two assists while Jake Gallaher compiled three goals, one assist and seven groundballs.

Devin Plemmons had a five-point game, finishing with two goals and three assists. Ethan Wissink and Jimmy McGrath also made assists.

Fernando Robison was strong inside the circle again, winning 18 of 22 faceoffs for 14 GBs. Joe Turner added six groundballs to the Siena Heights effort and goalie Jakob Moske converted 17 saves.

Siena Heights trailed by five at 9-4, 10-5 and 11-6 before closing its deficit to 12-10 in the third quarter. The Saints outscored the Warriors 4-1 in that period as Gallaher scored twice and Csizmadia and Plemmons put in one goal each.

The contest entered the fourth with a score of 12-10 and then neither team found the net over the final 15 minutes.

The NAIA Invitational will take place May 10-13 in Pensacola, Fla. The NAIA invites eight teams to the annual tournament.
