Gallaher, Wissink Named All-WHAC Men's Lax First Team; Two Others Second Team

Siena Heights men's lacrosse players Jake Gallaher and Ethan Wissink were named to the All-WHAC First Team, while two other Saints were named Second Team, as announced by the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference on Thursday.

Gallaher, now a three-time All-WHAC First Team honoree, and Wissink were joined by Eric Csizmadia and Fernando Robison, who were honored on the Second Team.

Gallaher, a senior, will finish his Saints' career as the program's all-time career leader for goals and points. Heading into Thursday's WHAC semifinals, Gallaher ranked second on the SHU team with 35 goals and tied for second with 18 assists. Gallaher, previously a First Team player in 2019 and 2022, is third on the team in points (53) and groundballs.

Wissink, a sophomore long-stick midfielder, has been strong on both ends of the field for SHU in 2023. In the offensive zone, he has 14 goals and two assists. Wissink is one of Siena Heights' top ball-controllers with a team-high 25 caused turnovers. He is second on the team with 54 groundballs.

Csizmadia and Robison are seniors who still have eligibility after 2023. Csizmadia leads the team with 39 goals and 57 points while tying for second on the squad with 18 assists. A two-time All-WHAC honoree, Csizmadia was previously named Second Team in 2022.

Robinon is also a two-time All-WHAC performer; he was named to the First Team last season. This year, Robison is 167 of 259 inside the faceoff circle (64.5 percent) with a total of 117 groundballs.

The Saints had two players named Academic All-WHAC: Chance Snyder and Trey Strand. Joe Turner was selected to the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
