#6 Men's Lax Drops Top-10 Matchup To #10 Concordia

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The sixth-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team dropped a 13-8 contest to No. 10 Concordia in WHAC action on Saturday.

Eric Czismadia led the Saints with three goals while Alex Lawson and Ethan Wissink contributed two goals apiece. Jake Gallaher also had a goal.

Devin Plemmons made three assists. Csizmadia, Lawson and Gallaher were credited with single assists.

Fernando Robison led SHU in groundballs with six. Wissink and Chance Snyder grabbed four apiece. Snyder also had four caused turnovers.

Jakob Moske had 16 saves in net for the Saints (3-3, 1-1).

Concordia (8-1, 3-0) was led by Andrew Simmons and Travis Wright, who tallied three goals apiece.

Siena Heights started the game in a groove, taking a 3-1 lead, before the host Cardinals went ahead for good with a 6-1 stretch.

CUAA held a 7-4 lead at halftime, which SHU trimmed to 7-6 on goals by Gallaher and Lawson early in the third quarter. The Cardinals then scored the next six goals to pull away.

The Saints will play their next game Wednesday when they visit WHAC opponent Taylor (Ind.) for a 3 p.m. faceoff.
