#8 Men's Lacrosse Battles Tough in Loss to Defending NAIA Champ #1 Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. -- The eighth-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team opened its season with defending national champ Reinhardt (Ga.) on Saturday, dropping a 13-7 contest.

Jake Gallaher totaled three goals, one assist and four groundballs for the Saints (0-1). Eric Csizmadia added two goals and two assists.

Devin Plemmons and Ethan Wissink also had goals for Siena Heights. Wissink, Logan Hudnut and Joey Keck made assists.

Fernando Robison was 13 of 23 in the faceoff circle, finishing with four groundballs. Jakob Moske had 14 saves in net.

The Saints found themselves playing catchup most of the day after the No. 1 Eagles jumped out to a 5-2 lead. Reinhardt (6-0) held an 8-6 edge heading after three quarters and iced the game away with a 5-1 run in the fourth.

The Saints will return to action on Sunday with a noon game against sixth-ranked Keiser (Fla.).
