Men’s Lacrosse Falls to Top-Ranked Indiana Tech in WHAC Championship Game

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team fell to No. 1 Indiana Tech in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Championship Game on Saturday night. The Saints (10-6) were stymied by the Warrior defense in the 11-1 defeat.

Jake Gallaher recorded the lone goal for SHU in the fourth quarter to prevent the shutout. Eric Csizmadia tallied the assist on that play. Gallaher added five shots and two ground balls to his stat line. Fernando Robison scooped 10 ground balls and won 12 of his 15 face-offs. Vinnie Jean (L, 10-6) recorded 28 saves in the losing effort. He also had eight ground balls.

The Saints were held scoreless through three quarters by a tough Indiana Tech defense that held SHU to five total shots on goal for the game. The Warriors held a 5-0 lead after one period before adding three more before the half.

In the third, two more goals were added to give Indiana Tech the 10-0 advantage heading into the fourth quarter. Gallaher scored his goal in a man-up situation before the Warriors added a final score before regulation.
