The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team was picked as the sixth-ranked team in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference in the Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced by the WHAC recently. In the 2017 season, SHU earned a 7-3 overall record while holding a 4-3 conference record.

Indiana Tech is picked as the preseason favorite to win the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) men's lacrosse championship. The Warriors tied with Lawrence Tech for the championship last year with 6-1 league records. Aquinas is picked to finish second while LTU was picked third. The top four teams at the end of the regular season will compete in the WHAC tournament and April 25 and April 28.
