The Siena Heights men's lacrosse team led the NAIA with four athletes named as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes for the 2017 season. Seniors John Holowaty and Seth McIntosh along with juniors Chris Acton and Derek Martin were recognized.
Holowaty and Martin both major in business administration. Majoring in sport management is Acton while McIntosh double-majors in criminal justice and psychology.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status. In the NAIA, 23 athletes were recognized.
