Abruzzo, Orr Named First Team All-CCLA; Four Others Recieve CCLA Honors

Senior defender Joshua Abruzzo and sophomore midfielder Danny Orr were honored to the All-CCLA First team while four other Saints also received All-CCLA honors, as announced by the league recently.

Earning second team honors were senior attack Spencer Macek and senior faceoff specialist Mark Ward. Rounding out the Saints honors were sophomore long-stick midfielder Michael Birt III and sophomore defensive midfielder Stephen Bloxam with All-CCLA Honorable Mention honors.

Abruzzo leads the team with 23 caused turnovers and added 33 ground balls, playing a vital role in the Saints defense.

Orr currently has 35 goals and 17 assists to lead the team with 52 points.

Macek earned the most assists for SHU with 20; he has also netted 30 goals and picked up 22 groundballs.

Ward won 133-of-198 faceoffs for a faceoff winning percentage of 67.2 percent.

Solid long-stick defense from Birt earn him honorable mention honors, after picking up 32 groundballs.

Bloxam by far leads the team in groundballs, picking up 70 so far.
