#3 Men's Lacrosse Finishes Regular Season with Success

ADRIAN, Mich. -- The third-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team finished the regular season with a 14-7 conference victory over Michigan-Dearborn on Sunday.

The Saints (10-3, 5-0) took control in the in the first quarter, outscoring the Wolverines 6-3. Shane Lewandowski and Spencer Macek tag-teamed on the first two goals of the game, at 14:16 and 13:16 left in the quarter, with Lewandowski finishing two Macek passes.

Siena held a comfortable lead for the remainder of the game, outscoring the Wolverines in every quarter.

Chris Acton and Macek each scored three goals for the Saints, while Macek also added on three assists. Lewandowski and Nicholas Lyons each tacked on two goals. Danny Orr, Tom Kreitzer, Nathan Lipon and Eric Schenck each added solo goals. Orr Tallied two assists while John Holowaty earned one.

Winning goaltender Tyler Hooper made seven saves for the Saints. For Michigan-Dearborn (2-9, 0-6), Andres Popp stopped five shots.

The Saints will be back in action when they face Davenport in the WHAC Championship on Wednesday.
