Seven Saints Score in #3 Men's Lax Victory Over #7 Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Seven Siena Heights men's lacrosse team members scored in the third-ranked Saints 19-10 victory over seventh-ranked, WHAC opponent Indiana Tech on Wednesday.

SHU's Tom Kreitzer opened the game scoring with 12:45 remaining in the first quarter. The Saints went on to outscore the Warriors 6-3 at the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Nathan Lipon finished a pass from Spencer Macek to score the 11th goal for the Saints (9-3, 4-0), which turned out to be the game-winner.

Shane Lewandowski led the Saints with five goals and two assists. Macek tacked on four goals and two assists while Chris Acton added three goals and an assist. Nicholas Lyons, Danny Orr and Lipon each scored a pair of goals. Lyons also earned two assists. Kreitzer added a solo goal for the night. Joshua Abruzzo earned an assist as well.

For SHU, winning goaltender Tyler Hooper stopped 17 shots between the pipes. Joseph Dosen made seven saves for Indiana Tech (5-7, 3-2).

With this win, the Saints (3-0 CCLA) have clinched the CCLA West Division Championship Title. That guarantees a first-round home playoff game versus the fourth-place CCLA East Division Team on April 23.

Next up, the Saints will host their final regular-season game against conference opponent Michigan Dearborn at 2 p.m.
