#3 Men's Lacrosse Cruises Past Lawrence Tech

The third-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team cruised past conference-opponent Lawrence Tech in a 14-7 decision on Wednesday.

SHU led 5-3 going into halftime with and outshot the Blue Devils, 28-14.

Shane Lewandowski put in the Saints game-winner, with an assist from Chris Acton, with 8:03 remaining in the third quarter.

Ten different Saints (8-3, 3-0) scored in the 14-7 victory, leading them was Danny Orr with three goals. Spencer Macek racked up two goals and three assists while Nicholas Lyons also added two goals and one assist. Scoring solo goals for Siena was Chris Acton, Alex Gilbert, Nathan Lipton, Adam Keay, Nate Woods, Tom Kreitzer and Lewandowski. Acton tallied two assists and Woods earned one.

Winning goaltender, Tyler Hooper, stopped 13 shots between the pipes for Siena. Joshua Abruzzo caused three turnovers for the Saints. Lawrence Tech (3-3, 0-1) goalie Adam Gohl made 14 saves.

Siena Heights will be back in action at Ferris State on Saturday for a 7 p.m. match-up.
