Orr Helps Men's Lacrosse Upset Over GVSU

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Danny Orr scored four goals to help lift the MCLA 13th-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team to a 9-8 upset over sixth-ranked Grand Valley State, on Sunday.

The score was tied up 5-5 going into halftime.

Siena Heights (4-3) scored two goals and held GVSU to one in the third quarter. 

In the fourth quarter, SHU's Nathan Lipon scored the game-winner over the Lakers. 

Orr lead the Saints with four goals and one assist. Spencer Macek finished with two goals, one assist and four ground balls. Chris Acton, Nick Lyons and Nate Lipon each added solo goals. Earning assists for the Saints were Shane Lewandowski, Woods and Acton. 

Tyler Hooper stopped 15 shots between the pipes for SHU. Joshua Abruzzo picked up four ground balls while Travis Byrd lead the Saints faceoff by winning 7-of-12. 

Next up, the Saints will travel to Toledo (Ohio) for a 7 p.m. game on Monday.
