#3 Men's Lacrosse Falls Short to PBA

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The third-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team dropped a close-contest 10-9 to Palm Beach Atlantic (Fla.) on Tuesday.

The Sailfish started with a 4-1 lead over the Saints at the end of the first quarter. Siena Heights fought back and tied the game up 5-5 by halftime.

After the third quarter, the Saints trailed 7-6. Both teams went on to score three goals in the fourth qurter, but it wasn't enough for the Saints to catch up.

Goaltender Tyler Hooper made seven saves between the pipes for the Saints.

Stephen Bloxam and Nate Woods picked up four ground balls a piece.

Leading the Saints in goals was Danny Orr with two. Adding solo goals was Nate Woodsm Spencer Macek, Nate Lipon, Derek Martin and John Holowaty. Chris Acton, Nick Lyons, Macek, Woods and Lipon each earned an assist.

Siena Heights outshot the Sailfish 40-25.

The Saints (2-3) will be back in action when they play Robert Morris (Ill.) at noon for their home-opener, on Sunday.
