PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The 12th-ranked Siena Heights men's lacrosse team dropped a 10-8 decision to fifth-ranked Dayton in a Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association Tournament semifinal on Friday at Highmark Stadium.

Tom Kreitzer led the Saints with four goals. Danny Orr added two goals and two assists while Spencer Macek and John Holowaty chipped in with one goal apiece.

Holowaty also had two assists while Chris Acton and Shane Lewandowski contributed one assist apiece.

Goaltender Ryan Mailloux finished with 14 saves and four groundballs. Mark Ward also had four GBs for the Saints (12-2).

SHU opened the game with a 2-0 run before Dayton rattled off four straight goals. The Saints scored two more goals to forge a 4-all tie before a three-goal DU run gave the third-seed Flyers the lead for good.

Trailing 10-6 in the fourth quarter, two-seed SHU put in a pair of goals, but could not complete the climb.

The Saints will now await word from the MCLA on whether they will receive an at-large bid to the National Tournament.
