AUGUSTA, Mich. -- Benjamin Ellis placed third individually, leading the Siena Heights men's golf team to a third-place finish at the WHAC Championships, which took place Friday and Saturday at Stoatin Brae Golf Club.

Ellis and teammate Davis Longyear tied the overall medalist, Madonna's Brandon Petzak, for Saturday's low round as all three carded three-under-par 68s.

Ellis finished with a three-round total of 215 while Longyear tied for 18th with a three-day 226.

Jakob Gross tied for 23rd with a 229, Colin Duffy tied for 26th with a 230 and Ramos tied for 41st with a 239.

The Saints ended Friday in seventh place before jumping past four schools with their Saturday round. Northwestern Ohio won the team championship with a total of 869 and Lawrence Tech finished runner-up with an 870. SHU's three-round total was 898 (308-299-291).

Petzak's 54-hole total was 211 (64-74-68).
