OTTAWA LAKE, Mich. -- Davis Longyear tied atop the leaderboard before finishing in a tie for second as the Siena Heights men's golf team competed in Lourdes' Gray Wolf Invitational on Tuesday at Legacy Golf Club.

Longyear shot a 74 and tied with four other golfers, Cornerstone's Logan Melcher and Luke Theeuwes and Lawrence Tech's Charly Ochoa and Victor Queinnec. Melcher was declared medalist via scorecard playoff.

Benjamin Ellis finished one stroke off the pace with a 75 and tied for sixth place.

As a team, the Saints placed fifth among 13 teams with a score of 312. Lawrence Tech won the team championship with a 299.
